This session celebrates the lifetime accomplishments of Bipin Vora, a prolific inventor whose work helped lead to the commercialization of numerous breakthrough petrochemical technologies. Bipin had a 40-year career at Honeywell UOP and after his retirement now consults throughout the world. He is an AIChE Fellow and was recently inducted into the National Academy of Engineering. Major processes that Bipin was key in developing include: Oleflex (light olefin dehydrogenation), MTO (methanol to olefins), and technologies to make linear alkylbenzene for detergents. This session will consist of invited talks on these topics to honor Bipin's career.
