Monday, April 1, 2019
Grand Salon & Grand Ballroom A/B (Hilton New Orleans Riverside)
Andrew Broadbent, GIS, API, Houston, TX and Ryan D. Meng, API

The Process Safety Site Assessment Program is a collaborative industry effort managed by API and is focused on improving process safety in petroleum refining and petrochemical facilities. The program has conducted over 65 process safety assessments and 38 HF RP-751 assessments since its inception in 2012. The assessments are conducted by independent and credible third-party teams of industry-qualified process safety expert assessors using industry-developed protocols.

The presentation will review trends, both positive and low scoring, seen in the extensive benchmarking data collected. Good practices observed in the assessments will be identified and discussed. The emphasis will be to have the attendees leave with an understanding that typically some site(s) has developed a way to handle challenging areas of process safety.
