83 Advances in Plant Simulation and Design II

Tuesday, March 28, 2017: 10:15 AM - 11:45 AM
304A (Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center)
Description:
Simulation and computer aided calculations are widely utilized and increasingly relied on in development, design, and engineering for chemical and related process industries. Examples include chemical process simulation, unit operation modeling, equipment modeling, sizing, costing and fluid dynamics calculations. Topics of this session include the use of simulators to solve engineering and design problems, developments in simulator functionality, advances in component properties generation, selection of Equation of State (EOS) or activity models in process simulation and the use of numerical methods such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in design and troubleshooting.
