187 Ethylene Plant Capacity Constraints

Wednesday, March 29, 2017: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Hemisfair Ballroom C1 (Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center)
Description:
Traditional wisdom states that larger plants are more economical and like all the other processing plants, the world-scale Ethylene Plant has been increasing in capacity and size. Presentations in this meeting will provide the pros & cons of limitations of the large capacity plants from the point of view of the licensors, the major equipment vendors/manufacturers and the engineering/procurement/construction contractors. Equipment size limitations for major equipment including pyrolysis furnaces, compressors, towers, flare system and others, and the potential to design around current constraints shall also be discussed.
