Description:
Oil refining exposes workers to an array of flammable and toxic materials, as well as hazards resulting from high pressure and high temperature operations. This session seeks papers describing innovative methods for managing these risks, either through administrative/qualitative methods or by ‘technical’/quantitative means. Papers are also invited that describe the ways in which refiners are addressing compliance with current codes and standards, discuss recent refinery incidents, and ways of managing aging facilities.
