Due to low cost of sensors, large systems for data processing and availability of real-time analytic techniques Internet of Things Analytics has captured the attention of industries strong in Chemical Engineering such as Oil & Gas industry. Advanced analytics have entered the Operational Technology (OT) landscape typically seen in chemical engineering operations with use cases such as Failure Prediction, Anomaly Detection and Services Innovation. However, this increase in complex data volumes at variable speeds requires new analytics discipline. Teradata has worked with partners across industries and applied a multi-disciplinary approach to develop Accelerators for Analytics of Things. In this session we will provide an overview of four such accelerators:
◦Condition Based Maintenance
◦Sensor Data Quality
◦Visual Anomaly Prospector
◦Manufacturing Process Optimization.

These accelerators are key to getting on the fast track of Internet of Things Analytics and capturing the business value from investment in sensors and networks.
