In this session you will learn about advances being made in data and information management in refineries. Topics of interest regarding data management include:
- Good refinery margins, so lately more focus on asset reliability to ensure process availability – need asset health information including the analysis and alerting
- Shortage of craft skilled resources – need to be more efficient with scarce resources, utilizing data and maintenance work planners
- Utilizing inventory management and property predictions when using opportunity crudes (may not have used before) and supplying products to regions outside normal served markets
- Utilizing additional monitoring for mitigating risk of safety and/or environmental incidents
