Process intensification (PI) is one of the most promising areas of modern chemical engineering including but not limited by equipment size reduction, development of innovative techniques, paradigm shifts in process design, integration of different unit operations, and holistic redesign of a whole process leading to significant energy and capital savings. The session will be discussing best practices, recent trends and examples of process intensification in chemical process industry.
