A novel pressure swing adsorption (PSA) process based on self-heat recuperation technology is proposed. By using pressure swing and heat circulation modules the adsorption heat and pressure can be recuperated and recycled to reduce the energy consumption. The process simulation results indicate that the energy consumption of proposed PSA process for the CO2 capture from the flue gas is reduced to more than 40% that of the conventional PSA process.
