One of the many goals of manufacturing in the petrochemical industry is to operate plants safely, profitably and reliably.  To achieve these goals requires the management of many competing constraints including raw materials, energy consumption, safety and environmental impact etc..   Among the enabling technologies used to accomplish these goals are computers, models and online analyzers

Dow owns and supports more than 22,000 online analyzers world-wide.  The data provided by these online analyzers are used to make important decisions necessary to operate and control our plants. We will highlight and discuss many myths and misconceptions associated with online analyzers in the petrochemical industry.
