Catalysts are commonly used in both batch and continuous reactor processes. To screen out the best catalysts, the product yield is monitored during the reaction period. It is challenging to compare different catalysts for those scenarios, because the yields are always time dependent in both batch and continuous reactors. In this presentation, MANOVA statistics methodology is used to analyze the data which have highly time serial correlation, and some novel methods have been developed to analyze the data which has a baseline drifting.
