The August 2014 Issue of Chemical Engineering Progress contained a special section on energy devoted to the emerging field of smart grid. In this session the authors of the special section will present on their respective topics; Tutorial, Curtailment Service Providers, Grid-to-Plant Communication Systems, and In-Plant Energy Management Systems. The session will conclude with a discussion panel composed of the four authors.
