Description:
Sustainability management within the chemical industry focuses on the responsible use of resources and engagement of community stakeholders to create economic, environmental, and social value. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs increasingly rely on the development of metrics that more accurately reflect business impacts on the environment and societal prosperity. Responsible sourcing, supply chain considerations, and internal corporate strategies for resource and working conditions management can constitute the basis of company sustainability programs. This session seeks presentations on performance benchmark studies on sustainability programs at companies and the quantification of social, environmental, and economic impact from management decisions on program implementation.
