Plastic of food containers released harmful gases during thermal decomposition, which can endanger human if these unqualified containers were used. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) was applied to evaluate the thermal kinetic and basic characteristics for plastic containers in thermal analysis system, such as Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), Polyvinylchloride (PVC) Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), (Polypropylene (PP), and Polystyrene (PS). Results indicated the safety information for these common used plastic containers.
