Refiners Meet the Challenges in a Changing Environment

Tom Hogan, Senior Vice President of Turner, Mason & Co., will discuss the refinery responses to a rapidly changing environment. Expanding regulatory requirements for transportation fuels and changes in feedstock qualities have forced refiners to make significant investments and alter their operations significantly over the last 20 years. These same forces will require additional investment in the near future. This presentation will describe some of the more significant regulatory programs like the reformulated gasoline, renewable fuels programs and the coming tier 3 sulfur reduction regulations and the refiner’s response to them.
