 The ever-changing world of hardware and software enables simulator vendors to build far richer user experiences than the current generation of products. This presentation will explore ideas that can improve how users interact with simulators and the large amount of data that they produce. Topics covered include:

  1. How alternative views of data can facilitate results comprehension and troubleshooting

  2. How crowdsourcing concepts and novel gestures can speed the building of flowsheets

  3. How the simulator can help reduce mouse-clicks and user-error

  4. How users might interact with simulators on devices like smartphones and wearables
