Tuesday, April 1, 2014: 1:30 PM
Grand Ballroom B (Hilton New Orleans Riverside)
Description:
Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) is an integral part of process safety management that ensures identification of hazards to assist plant personnel in making decisions for improving process safety. The purpose of this session is to highlight new and creative approaches in the world of PHA that can improve results. This includes the use of Evergreen PHA, linking PHA scenarios to LOPA, selection of PHA methodology and team composition, procedural PHA, review of non-routine operations, and the differences in PHA for batch and continuous modes of operation. This session invites original papers that discuss new developments and advances in PHA approach that lead to improved results and efficiency in hazard identification.
