The gas-solid two-phase flow in traditional Y type riser reactor was studied by comparing numerical simulation and experimental data. The calculated flow characteristics and particle concentration distribution in the riser were consistent with the experimental data, which verified the adopted models and calculating methods. Then detail gas oil and catalyst distribution was obtained and the effect of the wall internals on the catalyst distribution in the riser was analyzed by the verified methods. It was shown that the wall internals in the riser can both block effectively the catalyst slip down in wall area and reduce core-annulus flow structure by comparing with the traditional riser. The simulation results prove that the catalyst concentration distribution along the axis direction becomes uniform in the wall internals riser. It would be benefits for the reaction in the riser.
