Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practice or RAGAGEP is a fundamental building block of OSHA's PSM standard.  OSHA has announced that it intends to publish a Request for Information (RFI) regarding it's Process Safety Management (PSM) standard.  This paper will analyze the responses submitted to OSHA's RFI questions and determine what industry positions and best practices are on RAGAGEP.

Note to abstract reviewers: This abstract is a place holder - this paper may need to be further refined after OSHA issues it's RFI.  The paper will reflect the views of the authors and does not represent OSHA policy.
