Bonham E (Grand Hyatt San Antonio)
Description:
The competition in the global chemical industry has driven changes in the design, implementation and operation of chemical plant equipment. For example, the drive to reduce energy usage in plants both to reduce costs and improve sustainability have driven improvements/changes in even well-established chemical plant equipment. The development of new products and increased focus on specialty products has also impacted chemical process equipment design and operation. This session will focus on changes in unit operations, instrumentation and system design/operation in response to new design needs for chemical manufacturing plants in the 21st century.
