18 Risk Assessment and Management
Monday, April 29, 2013: 1:30 PM
Street Level 101A/B (Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center)
Description:
Risk assessment and management is an essential component of process safety management. Typical steps of risk management include risk identification, risk assessment, risk perception and risk control. In this session, papers that broadly share risk assessment and management case studies at the international level are invited. For example, companies with operations in the different parts of the world can share differences and similarities in risk management programs that are implemented in different countries. Along with this, they can also share advantages and challenges from implementing and managing risk management plans and regulatory policies across the globe. In addition, risk management case studies that share learning and implementation at international levels from different companies are highly encouraged. Furthermore, this session can be a platform to share development of guidelines for risk regulations that include viewpoints of local regulatory agencies, companywide regulations, and community perceptions.
