Description:
Although Management of Change (MOC) is a mature process in many industries there are opportunities to improve the use MOC since any " Change" can impact the safety of an operation whether it be process, mechanical, instrumentation, organization or other. Effective Management of Change (MOC) is key to minimize the impact and reduce potential risk associated with a change. The purpose of this session is to present application of management of change processes including the use of electronic MOC processes. How are the potential risk associated with a change qualified, evaluated and then communicated through an organization to insure that evaluation of change becomes a part of the corporate culture? An opportunity to share processes and how the risk of change is evaluated in order that the most appropriate tools are utilized to evaluate the risk and allow changes to be implemented quickly with an appropriate level of review. Once a MOC process is in place what are the proven measures used to evaluate its effectiveness and opportunities for improvement in the process.
