27 YP Tutorial: Environmental Issues and Controls in Select Industrial Sectors

Description:
This session will feature four 30 minute-long presentations describing new and proposed environmental regulations of emissions and discharges to air, water and soil, as well as reviewing current emissions or effluent control techniques and sustainability initiatives, where applicable. A description of processes designed for the mitigation of environmental impacts and reducing use of environmental resources will also be presented. The session will introduce engineers to these topics in a manner that will make evident connections between industry, consulting, government, investors and academia in dialogue around environmental issues. Each presenter will represent a different industry, including: chemicals, bio/pharmaceuticals, building/construction, and power.
