On August 6, 2012 a hydrocarbon fire occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the crude unit of the Chevron Richmond Refinery in Richmond, California.  Approximately 20 workers were present when an 8" line ruptured and engulfed the employees in a vapor cloud.  Five employees suffered minor injuries and over 15,000 people from the surrounding communities went to the hospital as a result of the incident. This presentation will provide an update on the status of the investigation and lessons learned to date.
