Isobaric vapor-liquid equilibrium(VLE) data for 1-propanol-water system containing mixed solvent were measured in a novel ebulliometer at 101.3kPa. The experiments shows mixed solvent(ethanediol and postassium acetate) lead to eliminate the azeotropic point of 1-proanol-water system and rise the relative volatility of 1-propanol to water prominently. The relativity of 1-propanol to water increase with more addition of mixed solvent, so mixed solvent can be considered as an extraction solvent for extraction distillation of 1-propanol and water. The suitable mass fraction of mixed solvent is about 60%. The VLE data were correlated by NRTL model, and comparing the correlated results with the experimental ones, the standard deviations of bubble point temperatures and vapor compositions were 0.45K and 0.00872, respectively.
