Description:
Process intensification is used successfully by a variety of companies as a business driven approach focused on process improvements such as increased productivity, improved product quality, and reduced operational footprint. Various methods used in process intensification include, but may not be limited to, the use of intensive reactor technologies (i.e., microreactors), the move from batch to continuous processing, and the use of catalytic/reactive distillation or extraction. Case studies and examples of how the process intensification approach is used at different stages during process/product development are welcome.
