Description:
This session is dedicated to novel research, technology, and processes in the area of petroleum hydroprocessing, including hydrotreating, hydrocracking, and hydroconversions. We welcome papers reporting advances catalyst development, process design, modeling and simulation, commercial technology innovation and implementation in the area of distillates hydrotreating (including hydrodesulfurizattion, hydrodenitrogenation, hydrodemetalization and hydrodearomatization), hydrocracking, and hyeavy oil/ bitumen hydroconversion. The scope of this session also covers approaches and technologies that complement or replace hydroprocessing, such as oxidation/adsorption/extraction based desulfurization and denetrogenation technologies. Contributions are encouraged from refiners, catalyst vendors, technology developers, engineering/technology licensers, research organizations and academic institutions, as well as anyone else with an interest in this area.
