One of the most critical issues in engineering and design of FLNG is to reduce top side weight along with its load distribution to the sub-structure. Concentrated top side loads will result in an increase in hull structure costs.  The developed 2-row containment system allows flexibility of top side load distribution. This system allows flexible modularization of top side equipment and reduces in hull structure cots as well. This system also provides great benefits in minimization of sloshing effects of the membrane storage FLNG. FLNG storage capacity can be increased with the 2-row system without sloshing problem. This paper presents the cost effectiveness of the 2-row containment system adopted to FLNG.
