Move to Renewable energy in an oil exporting region?

With its abundant resources of oil and gas, and having 25 % of the world oil reserves and low cost of production, it was not the forecasted that Arab gulf countries will consider energy resources other than what they are exporting to the outer world. However, for many reasons, these countries are considering nuclear and renewable energies particularly solar for many residential and industrial uses. In this paper we will cover the reasons, economics, feasibility and some major announced projects in the region.
