Planning and Developing a Career in Process Development

The first ten years of a chemical engineer’s career are critical to the path that career takes, to the success achieved during that career, and to the happiness, fulfillment, and respect obtained from that career.  This talk presents the questions which must be answered in the early years of a chemical engineering career.  Some of those questions are:

• Am I best suited for a technical or management career?

• How do I develop a technical career?
• How do I develop a management career?
• Should I get plant experience?
• Should I earn a graduate degree while working?
• How do I learn to be a leader?
• Where do I get leadership training?

These questions and many others will be discussed from the insight gathered during a thirty year career in Process Development.
