11 Management of Change – the Most Difficult PSM Challenge

Monday, March 14, 2011: 10:00 AM
Columbus IJ (Hyatt Regency Chicago)
Description:
With the intricate complexity of today’s process plants, a thorough and logical MOC process is imperative. Potentially devastating downstream effects brought on by seemingly innocent changes dictate proper review by the right people. Are our MOC procedures effective or do they simply mask ticking-the-box problems? This session will explore effective methods for implementing and enforcing MOC activities. Particular consideration will be given to case studies of successes and failures resulting from MOC implementation.
