84 Mechanical Integrity – Critical Line of Defense

Wednesday, March 16, 2011: 8:00 AM
Columbus IJ (Hyatt Regency Chicago)
Description:
How successful is your MI Program? Process and support equipment must function as designed each and every time to prevent loss of containment leading to fires, explosions and toxic releases. Contributors to a successful MI program go well beyond the reliability department, to include engineering, operations, and production. The Process Plant Safety Symposium session on Mechanical Integrity is soliciting papers on all elements of MI programs, including evaluating successes, incorporating MOC, and anticipating hidden effects from process changes such as temperature, pressure, and phase or process stream compositions.
