Description:
The production of fuels and chemicals from renewable resources has gained momentum in recent years. The motivations for producing renewable fuels and chemicals include a wide variety of interrelated issues such as government policies, geopolitical issues affecting the supply of fossil fuels, and environmental concerns about CO2 emission and climate change. This session will focus on issues related to the production of renewable fuels and chemicals including biodiesel, ethanol, and other fuels/chemicals derived from renewable resources.
