Two different troubleshooting strategies from the literature are compared, and practices and tips from expert troubleshooters are shared.  Several examples illustrate these techniques.  A particular case of a distillation tower experiencing poor efficiency is highlighted to demonstrate some solid fundamental methods, and it will also reveal some unexpected results.
