Ras Gas Company Limited (Ras Gas) operates LNG production as well as pipeline quality gas production facilities in the state of Qatar. RasGas has made extensive use of Process Simulators (POTS) during pre-project commissioning and later during normal plant operation. The primary use is for Distributed Control System (DCS) training of central control room Operators. The paper explains the training use of Process Simulator made by RasGas, and provides examples of other benefits.
