Ethylene plant compressors and steam turbines are critical to production. This equipment is unspared and requires periodic maintenance to operate reliably. The question is always, "How long can we run between equipment turnarounds?" and "Why can't we go longer?" There are many factors that determine the correct timing for these turnarounds and this presentation will discuss these factors based on engineering/technical considerations, maintenance considerations, and process considerations.
