Description:
Flow across a separating membrane is used to limit the amount of filter cake that forms on the surface of the membrane. Such cross flow filters can be used as slurry thickeners and can be used to produce highly purified filtrate. Papers in this session discuss applications and limitations of cross flow filters and their design considerations.
