Liquid droplets in aerosols and liquid/liquid emulsions pose unique separations challenges due to the nature of the gas/liquid and liquid/liquid interfaces. Small drops may behave like small rigid particles in some conditions and may deform or spread in other conditions. Papers in this session describe recent research results and applications to GL and LL separations.
