Description:
Though previously a manufacturer's main concerns were making profit and keeping their employees safe, the new manufacturing world has increased the emphasis on a “greener” manufacturing scheme, adding yet one more concern to the manufacturer’s list. Environmental legislation has extended beyond basic emission regulations and ensuring manufacturing facilities keep the product in the pipes, to stricter policies around greenhouse gas emission and carbon footprint. We are no longer simply looking for the cheapest feedstocks, but also looking for the most environmentally friendly feedstocks. This session will discuss the balancing act of maintaining a profitable and a green manufacturing business as well as addressing the CO2 footprint.
