Description:
Separations technologies are critical to the majority of refinery and petrochemical processes. While distillation continues to be the workhorse of these industries, novel separation processes are playing an increasingly important role. And though distillation is a rather mature technology, advanced distillation techniques continue to be developed and implemented in industrial technology. This session will cover advances in separation technologies in the refining and petrochemical industries, including adsorption, absorption, liquid-liquid extraction, membrane separations, and advanced distillation. Papers are encouraged from refiners, petrochemical producers, and academic research groups, as well as technology licensors, consultants, and vendors.
