Timeline of Sabine Pass LNG Terminal

This paper describes on a month by month basis the timeline of milestones accomplished in Conceptual design, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) both pre-FEED and full-FEED, local, state, and federal permitting, EPC activities for both Phase one and Phase two. Project cost for both phases is summarized. From hindsight, the paper then discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the project. From an engineering perspective the paper discusses important design points that all LNG facilities should be based upon. The paper discusses proven equipment, safety considerations, environmental issues and a common sense approach to obtain community support.
