#233 - Modeling and Control in Process Development and Optimization (12C03)
Scale-up of fuel production processes can present considerable challenges due to unit size (in refineries), or distributed production (biofuels), or in qualification of new fuels via engine test study, prior to full commercial manufacture. This session presents case studies and best practices in technology transfer for the scale up and commercialization of new fuels or new process routes to fuels. Topics include assembly and organization of project teams to span the range of disciplines required from engineering, chemistry, and product (fuels performance).
