#27 - Advances in Optimization for Process Operations, Planning and Scheduling (10C00)
Optimization has been the focus of numerous publications in the last few decades. Despite advances in modeling and solution strategies, a number of issues are still unresolved and require significant research effort in this area. Among them are questions regarding the efficient solution of large-scale and real-world problems. Papers are sought that describe modeling of complex optimization problems, algorithmic development and efficient solution procedures to address the dimensionality of real case studies, and novel ideas in terms of problem representation to reduce the computational complexity of the resulted optimization formulations.
