#124 - Tutorial 7: Mixing and Segregation (TW107)
Mixtures of solid particles can separate or segregate while they are being handled. This often results in costly quality control problems due to waste of raw materials, lost production, as well as increased maintenance and capital costs required to retrofit existing facilities. Common mechanisms of segregation will be reviewed and illustrated using many industrial examples. Proven, practical solutions for solving or at least minimizing segregation problems will be presented.
