#1 - Critical Issues Series: Energy (18000)
Following the successful Energy Forum, held in Cincinnati at AIChEs 2005 Annual Meeting, the Critical Issue Series: Energy continues the discussion of how chemical engineers are addressing the world’s energy challenges. With AIChEs broad technical expertise, we continue to explore energy options and sift through the conflicting analyses that sometimes characterize the energy debate. Department of Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman, a chemical engineer, is one of the invited speakers at this special Critical Issues Series. The session will include discussions on how chemical engineers’ contribute to the debate by: A. Analyzing energy options through an integrated systems approach B. Resolving technical barriers C. Quantifying metrics to evaluate energy options
