| #93 - Innovation in Sustainable Processes I (TE000) | |||
| This session is devoted to process or product innovations where Sustainable Development has played a key role in decision making and project justification, including new innovations offering enhanced “sustainability” relative to the products or processes being replaced. Examples include new process routes with reduced CO2 footprint, higher carbon efficiency, and/or reduced use or generation of toxic components. Also included are new products which offer improved performance and recyclability, leading to reduced resource consumption. Process innovations in direct mitigation of known sustainability problems (CO2 capture, NOx removal) are also welcome, as are innovations in use of alternate feedstocks (biobased, municipal waste) and energy sources offering reduced environmental impact. | |||
