Fluidization and Multiphase Flow/Separations (TWd)

#11 - Numerical Simulation of Fluid/Particle Flow Systems - I (TWD20)
The process of fluid/particle flow is encountered in numerous industrial applications as well as in nature. Fluid/particle systems exhibit complex and challenging behavior. A fundamental understanding of their behavior and properties is crucial for the optimization of many practical applications. This session will focus on the contribution of the computational approach in achieving a better understanding of these systems in general, and the particle/particle and fluid/particle interactions in particular. We are interested in receiving contributions from all area focusing on gas/solid, liquid/solid, gas/liquid/solid as well as granular systems.
