As the title implies, I will briefly review a few recent published investigations from my lab that harness genome scale metabolic modeling in combination with experimental work by our collaborators to identify new cancer drug targets. I will then discuss ongoing studies aimed at harnessing genome scale metabolic modeling to identify synthetic dosage lethality networks in cancer and on providing a genome-wide characterization of altered metabolic regulation in cancer. I will close by discussing a few key challenges that lay ahead.
