377 In-silico Tools for Integrated Process Design and Manufacturing

Friday, November 20, 2020: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Pharmaceutical Discovery, Development and Manufacturing Forum (26) (PreRecorded+)

Description:
This session is one of the four sister sessions and encourages oral submissions to illustrate the application of in-silico tools for integrated process design. In-silico tools, particularly flowsheet-models, are gaining popularity and find applications in the development of design spaces, simulation of what-if scenarios, process optimization, testing of control architecture, and performing in-silico experiments , among others. Related topics in drug substance and drug product development and manufacturing will be considered. Modeling techniques including but not limited to CFD, DEM, FEM, and Monte Carlo methods or those that leverage thermodynamic, kinetic, and transport phenomena framework will be showcased.
