Description:
This session focuses on reaction fundamentals, novel catalytic materials, and conversion and catalytic technologies for converting small oxygenates derived from biomass into fuels and chemicals. Topics include, but are not limited to: experimental and theoretical studies for characterization, reactivity, micro- and macrokinetic studies of biomass catalytic conversion, catalytic materials for biomass processing, catalytic technologies for biomass pretreatment and upgrading, and catalytic conversion of lignocellulose, starch, sugars, and lipids to fuels and chemicals, among others
